This committee of the Coating and Graphic Arts Division was created to develop knowledge related to the properties, use and testing of coating raw materials, individually and in formulations, including additives, binders, and pigments.
The purpose of this committee is to study, educate, and evaluate coating preparation, handling, processing, control, and application during the manufacture of coated paper and paperboard.

The Coating Processes Book Committee: A team of authors chosen from the Coating and Graphic Arts Division Technical Program Committee willing to contribute to the update of The Coating Processes publication by streamlining the text to bring a more uniform, simplistic approach. The authors will compare styles in order to determine an understanding of how much information we want to include without being too prolific. The team will also be reaching out to select people for their contributions in the other areas as needed.

The Coating and Graphic Arts Division is comprised of technical professionals who focus on the materials, equipment and processes for the manufacture, quality control and use of coated papers, paperboard, and other substrates, as well as the use of coated and uncoated materials in graphic arts.

The Coating, Printing and Surface Enhancement Steering Committee oversees the direction of the Coating & Graphic Arts Division. The members are officers within Coating & Graphic Arts Committees.
The Technical Program Committee (TPC) solicits technical papers for TAPPICon, provides an unbiased peer review, and selects papers for presentation. TPC members will also assist in the organization of the technical sessions.
The Division Committee of Chairs provides a forum for information exchange between Division Council and Technical Committee Chairs. It is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a long-range plan for the Division that will close the “gap” between the current and desired Division’s profile. The Engineering Division Council, acting as an executive committee, assists the Division Chair in the conduct of the Division’s business and maintaining continuity through changes in Division leadership.

Corrugated Board Technical Services Committee (Corbotec) This committee of the Corrugated Packaging Division provides technical assistance to mills, container plants, and box customers in resolving board and container problems by promoting information exchange and communication between all elements of the process and distribution cycle.
