The function of this CIG is to provide guidelines to users (e.g. papermakers, commissioning engineers, process control engineers and software developers) who are dealing with CD (cross-machine direction) actuator mapping for CD sheet quality control applications.
The Process Control Division CIG’s provide its members with a forum for technical information exchange, continuing education and professional development. The CIG’s mission includes the identification, assessment, and application of state-of-the-art and emerging technologies in its field of interest. It gives its members an opportunity to participate in the development of technology guidelines and practices in the areas of Process Control important to members individually and to help the pulp and paper industry as a whole. These CIG’s may sponsor a variety of education offerings including TAPPI PRESS products and offer networking and problem-solving opportunities.
