I am a recent graduate of the University of Maine with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a minor in Mathematics, and a concentration in Pulp & Paper Management. My professional interests center on process improvement and collaborating with operations teams to solve technical challenges and improve performance. I am passionate about developing strong leadership and management skills to support effective team decision-making. I will be joining Packaging Corporation of America as a Process Engineer at the Counce, TN mill in July 2026. My experience in the pulp and paper industry includes roles as a Pulp Lab Technician at Sappi, a Process Engineering Co-Op at Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), and a Student Research Assistant at the University of Maine Process Development Center (PDC). Across these positions, I have developed skills in project management, process monitoring, industry software, communication, and outage planning. I have led high-value projects across paper machine operations, stock preparation, pulping, recovery, and secondary fiber systems. Additionally, through pilot-scale work at the PDC, I gained perspective on process scale-up and presented high-level research on pilot refining at TAPPICon 2026. At the University of Maine, I served two terms as President of the UMaine TAPPI Student Chapter, where I expanded professional development opportunities for students through mill tours, industry speakers, and community engagement events. Additionally, I coordinated large-scale experiential programs, including the TAPPI Student Summit and international TREE and TREM trips, managing extensive planning, student coordination, travel logistics, and communication with host companies. These efforts included over $55,000 in combined fundraising. I also held leadership roles in many honors societies, including Founder and President of UMaine Omega Chi Epsilon (ΩXE), Vice President of Maine Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi (TBΠ), and Treasurer of the Senior Skulls Society, representing the top 1% of senior men at UMaine and supporting campus philanthropic and traditions initiatives.
