Honor an outstanding woman within the forest products industry! TAPPI’s Women in Industry Division is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Woman of the Year Award.
The time has come to submit your nominations for TAPPI’s Woman of the Year award. This award is the Women in Industry Division’s premier honor given to one recipient a year at PaperCon. We encourage you to nominate all the worthy women that you know in the pulp, paper, tissue, packaging, and forest products industries. We hope all TAPPI members will provide a nomination, however TAPPI membership is not a requirement for the nominator or nominee. The deadline to submit nominations is December 7, 2018, so do not delay.
The Women in Industry Division’s Woman of the Year award recognizes women who have demonstrated excellence in leading, motivating, and developing others within the pulp, paper, tissue, packaging, and related industries. The ideal candidate has had an impact on those around her and has motivated and developed others.
Nominees should demonstrate the following qualities:
LEADERSHIP – Has demonstrated excellent leadership skills within their company, community and/or volunteer activities.
IMPACT – had a visible and/or tangible impact on fellow employees, whether subordinates or others within their company, through actions or activities.
DEVELOPING OTHERS – Is dedicated to mentoring within or outside of her company, provided support for rising professionals, and is actively engaged in career coaching.
PRESENCE – Possesses visibility within their organization or field, demonstrates high integrity in actions and words, and portrays an image of strength and confidence that inspires.
