Let’s hear it for Rachel Johnson, recipient of a TAPPI 2021 Process and Product Quality Division John Walkinshaw Scholarship! Rachel is a senior at the University of Washington working towards a Bachelor’s of Science in bioresource science and engineering. She has worked as a summer student in the NORPAC Lab, working on brightness meters and the pulp calibration machine. This summer, Johnson will work at International Paper, Federal Way, WA in their Innovation Lab. After graduation, she hopes to find a career in the paper industry.
