Synonym: Bad Reel Profile, Moisture humps, lumpy reel.  Also bad edge

Definition: Sometimes the surface of the reel will be sway back or humped instead of flat across.  Although there may sometimes be a mechanical issue, more often the uneven reel profile is due to moisture variation.  Uneven moisture causes the shrink and elasticity of the sheet to vary and the sheet to wind with different diameters.  When variation is abrupt and extreme the difference will cause corrigation as shown in the "Corrigated Reel" entry.
