2. Hard Roll
Synonyms: Roll, finished roll

Definition: A roll of rewound tissue, often two or more plies, ready for sale or use on a converting machine.  On some modern machines and systems the terminology is used loosely meaning any roll ready for sale even when calendaring or slitting are done on the tissue machine.
