Paper Physics

This committee comprises "Paper Physicists," who could be described as researchers who like to tackle problems within the pulp and paper field that require a background in disciplines such as solid mechanics, polymer physics, microscopy, physical chemistry, materials science biophysics, solid state physics, wood and fiber technology, and fluid mechanics.

The objectives of the committee are: Promotion of fundamental knowledge on the structure and properties of fibers and fibrous products, especially paper and board, and the physical and physicochemical mechanisms that relate to these.

Our membership is open to all TAPPI members who define themselves as "paper physicists" or who are interested in paper physics.
