Bio

Matthew Tunnicliffe started working for FPInnovations in 2012, shortly after completing his M.A.Sc at the University of British Columbia. Matthew is studying the influence of wood specific extractives in black liquor, to determine how they influence corrosion in pulp mill liquor systems. He is also investigating the on-line electro-chemical measurement of corrosion in black liquor evaporators. In 2013 Matthew joined the TAPPI Engineering Division’s Corrosion and Materials Engineering Committee as the Secretary, and is now acting as the Chair.

Outside of work I am active mountain biker, road biker, and outdoor enthusiast. Prior to starting work with FPInnovations I competed in snowboardcross on Canadas high performance program and competed in 21 World Cup eventss between 2007 and 2013
