Future of MES – towards autonomous mill

We are living in a data-rich world with new technology, security and privacy concerns, increased demands and broadened connectivity. This applies to the industry and creates new challenges to follow global trends and to make the best use of technology innovations.
To lead our paper, board, tissue and pulp industry in an era of data-driven business this presentation will highlight a vision that keeps in mind what becomes possible through new technologies, the evolving role of MES and future needs of a practical solution architecture to enable the autonomous mills. The goal is to help pulp and paper industry members to be ready for the future pursuit of production excellence.

Bio: Experienced Senior Adviser, over 30 years’ experience in serving Pulp and Paper Industry worldwide delivering mill process applications and user oriented applied information technology to Pulp and Paper industry. Committed to service the industry, recognized as Recipient of TAPPI PIMA 2018 Glen T. Renegar Award an individual who has provided outstanding service and contribution toward the growth and betterment of the PIMA Management Division (USA). Active member driving “Future IT of P&P Mill” discussion at PIMA IT & PapTac (Canadian P&P Industry Association) Regular Speaker at industry conferences: PaperCon (USA); PacWest and PaperWeek (Canada); ATIP (France); ABTCP (Brazil) and APPITA (ANZ)
