Managed research group in Surface Physics at the Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada, and Surface Science at International Paper before taking resonsibility for research center devoted to developing new paper products for IP. Then became Director of Corporate R&D and Chief Scientist at IP before taking position in Stockholm as President of the Institute for Surface Chemistry (YKI).
Currently, emeritus at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm focused on nanostructured materials and surface chemistry while teaching engineers about the industrial innovation process.
